LOOK AGAIN
June 13, 2026
“Then he said, ‘What shall I do for you? Tell me, what do you have in the house?’ And she said, ‘Your servant has nothing in the house except a jar of oil.’”
— 2 Kings 4:2
Bold One,
The widow saw a jar of oil, but heaven saw a business.
She saw lack, but God saw potential.
The difference was perspective.
In today’s scripture, a desperate widow came to Elisha believing she had reached the end. Debt was closing in. Her sons were about to be taken. To her, the future looked empty.
Then Elisha asked a question that changed everything:
“What do you have in your house?”
Her first response revealed her mindset: “Your servant has nothing there at all… except a small jar of olive oil.”
How often do we do the same?
We dismiss the idea because it seems too simple or overlook the skill because it comes naturally. We ignore the relationship, the experience, the gift, or the resource because it doesn’t look significant enough.
But God has a habit of using what people call “insignificant” to produce extraordinary outcomes.
The widow called it “just a jar”, but God called it the starting point for her miracle.
Bold One, perhaps you’ve been praying for a fresh idea while overlooking the wisdom God has already planted in you. Maybe you’ve been asking for a new opportunity while neglecting the gifts already in your hands.
Today is an invitation to look again.
Look again at your experiences.
Look again at your talents.
Look again at the conversations you’ve had.
Look again at the burden God keeps placing on your heart.
Because the seed of your next breakthrough may not be somewhere else.
It may already be within reach.
Activate This Word - Come Into Agreement
Today, I come into agreement with the God who gives ideas, strategies, and solutions that transform ordinary things into extraordinary outcomes.
And declare:
I am filled with divine inspiration.
I carry creative ideas from Heaven.
I have access to solutions that cannot be learned by human wisdom alone.
The Holy Spirit is illuminating my mind and sharpening my discernment.
I see opportunities where others see obstacles.
I see potential where others see limitations.
I see possibilities where others see impossibilities.
I will not call my gifts insignificant.
God is breathing on what He has placed in my hands.
The seed of my next breakthrough is not beyond my reach.
The blueprint for my next level is revealed now.
Fresh ideas are flowing to me.
Inspired strategies are flowing through me.
Kingdom innovation is rising within me.
I receive divine insight for my work.
I receive divine creativity for my business.
I receive divine solutions for my ministry.
I receive divine wisdom for my family.
Today, my mind is alert, my spirit is sensitive, and my imagination is sanctified by the Spirit of God.
I think with clarity.
I create with excellence.
I solve problems with wisdom.
I steward ideas with faithfulness.
The Lord is teaching me how to multiply what I already have.
The Lord is revealing hidden potential in places I once ignored.
So, I call myself a carrier of Heaven’s solutions.
I declare that the ideas God gives me will bless people, create value, and advance His purposes on the earth.
I will not wait for the perfect moment. I will steward what is already in my house.
Because the God who multiplied the widow’s oil is multiplying the wisdom, creativity, and grace He has entrusted to me.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Take Inventory Before You Ask for More
Today, resist the urge to search for something new.
Instead, search your own house.
Set a timer for 15 minutes and make four lists:
Skills I already have
Experiences God has already brought me through
Resources I already possess
People and relationships God has already placed in my life
Write everything down - even the things that seem ordinary.
When you’re finished, review your list and circle one item you’ve been overlooking.
Then ask yourself:
How might God use this to serve others, solve a problem, or create value?
Today, don’t dismiss what God has already placed in your hands.
Your next breakthrough may begin with something you’ve been overlooking all along.
