I’m Not Running on Yesterday’s Oil
Today’s Verse
“But my horn You have exalted like a wild ox; I have been anointed with fresh oil.”
– Psalm 92:10
You can’t run on yesterday’s strength for today’s assignment. What got you through the last season won’t be enough for what’s coming. You need fresh oil, and the good news is that Heaven is pouring it out.
The anointing is not a feeling or a mood. It’s not a spiritual hype or an emotion; rather, it’s a divine enablement. The anointing is what empowers you to slay giants, destroy yokes, birth visions, and withstand what would’ve crushed you without it.
The heaviness you’ve been feeling lately is not just emotional fatigue; it’s the cry of your spirit for a fresh touch. You’re not weak, and you’re not lazy; you’re just overdue for a fresh anointing. The good news? God is ready to pour out that fresh anointing you’ve been longing for.
Today, the Lord is not asking you to push harder. He’s not asking you to keep spinning the wheels of burnout and frustration. He’s calling you to pause, lift your hands, and open your heart because the wind of the Spirit is blowing again, and it’s carrying fresh oil with your name on it.
Fresh oil for your mind so your thoughts are no longer clouded.
Fresh oil for your hands so your work is no longer toilsome.
Fresh oil for your calling so your assignment flows with ease.
Fresh oil for your prayers so your voice carries weight in the spirit.
Heaven is not pouring drops; it’s pouring overflow.
Receive it, and walk in it.

I declare that I am anointed with fresh oil for this new season. I declare that the wind of God is blowing over my body, soul, and spirit, and it is bringing deep, divine refreshment. Where I was weary, strength is returning. Where I was numb, the fire of God is falling again. My energy is restored, my focus is renewed, and my passion is reignited.
Today, I breathe deeply and receive the breath of God. Every part of me is alive again - mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I inhale grace and exhale heaviness. I receive the wind of renewal without resistance.
I declare that I operate under a fresh anointing for fresh assignments. I don’t move in yesterday’s oil; I move in today’s outpouring, tailor-made for today’s mission. I am equipped with divine wisdom, empowered by God’s Spirit, and energized by supernatural strength for what’s next.

Find a quiet moment today, before you begin your day, or as you wind it down. Stand still, take a deep breath, lift your hands, and speak this aloud: “Lord, I receive fresh oil. Anoint me again.”
